Build the AI that runs our platforms

We're looking for an ML Engineer to help design, build, and ship the AI systems behind Mercova's platforms — from model selection and fine-tuning to the infrastructure that runs it all in production.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and AI systems that power Mercova's software platforms
• Own the full ML lifecycle — data pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
• Work with LLMs and other AI models: fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic systems where they fit
• Build and maintain the infrastructure that serves models reliably at scale
• Partner with product and engineering teams to turn ML capabilities into real product features
• Monitor model performance in production and iterate based on real-world results
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI/ML tools and APIs where they're the right fit

Who fits this role

• 2+ years of experience building and deploying ML/AI systems in production
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks
• Hands-on experience with LLMs — fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or building LLM-powered applications
• Solid understanding of the full ML lifecycle, from data to deployment
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
• Bonus: experience with real-time data systems, trading/fintech, or consumer-facing AI products
